Storm Models Management
Wonderland Magazine
The Telegraph
The Guardian
Save the Children
During the webinar, I gained an insight into what her home country of Venezuela is like. Silvana prides herself on creating personal projects based around her home country and the people that reside there. Venezuelan Youth is a project of hers that has gained high recognition and has won multiple awards. The project focuses on the youth of Venezuela and whether or not they have a future within the country as it is in a deep economical crisis. Another project of Silvana’s named ‘Nosotras’ focuses on the women of Venezuela and the role that they play in society. Silvana also works on commissions, shooting portraits for luxury brands and newspaper articles. You can find examples of these on her website linked here: http://silvanatrevale.com/
I was completely encaptured by her work and it inspired me to want to try shooting on film more as well as creating more narrative / documentary-style photography. Her talk actually inspired my final major project as I am putting together a narrative exhibition.
