My final project subject

After lots of thinking and conversations about content, I have decided that the subject of my final project will be my mum’s breast cancer diagnosis and our relationship as a mother and daughter. However I have decided that my work will show the positivity behind the scenes and the beauty in strength.

I wanted to show how strong and inspiring my mum is as well as what it is like living in an environment where someone has been diagnosed with cancer. Throughout the project I will be shooting our home, my mum, myself, objects that connect us and places of comfort that we both share.

I think this project will take me on a journey as to how me and my mum both really feel about the circumstances and the similarities or differences that we both may have. At the moment I am thinking that the end result could be a zine, book or exhibition. This will also help as a form of documentation.
